Cultural Conversations: Basic Needs Part 2 - Evictions & Shut-offs

  • Leadership Washington County 11 Public Square, Suite 400B Hagerstown United States (map)

We will host three separate lunchtime (12-1pm) conversations during the month of December open and FREE to members of LWC, the Chamber and GHC. We look forward to welcoming community experts to discuss the following topics:

12/7: Evictions & Shut-offs: How can we help the most vulnerable stay safe & warm this winter?

Community Guests:

  • Brooke Grossman: Chief Mission Officer, Horizon Goodwill Industries

  • Geordie Newman: President/CEO, Washington County Community Action Council

  • Terrence Hooper: Landlord and Property Owner’s Association of Washington County Maryland Inc.

Each of these conversations will shine a light on cultural inequities that exist in our community and how our three organizations’ members can make an impact by first understanding the issues and then answering our call to action.

This continues to be a collaboration between The Greater Hagerstown Committee, Leadership Washington County, and the Washington County Chamber of Commerce.  Each organization will send communication to their active members with information on how to join the Zoom conversation for each week’s topic.
