We will host three separate lunchtime (12-1pm) conversations during the month of December open and FREE to members of LWC, the Chamber and GHC. We look forward to welcoming community experts to discuss the following topics:

            12/14: Food Deserts, Fast Food & Food Pantries: How can we increase access to healthy food options?

Community Guests:

• Pastor Darin Mency: Greater Camper Temple and President of Mency Enterprises, Inc.

• Jessica Scott: Board President, Robert W. Johnson Community Center and Program Director, Habitat for Humanity of Washington County (LWC Class 29, 2016)

• Dave Shuster: Chief Executive Officer, Horizon Goodwill Industries

Each of these conversations will shine a light on cultural inequities that exist in our community and how our three organizations’ members can make an impact by first understanding the issues and then answering our call to action.

This continues to be a collaboration between The Greater Hagerstown Committee, Leadership Washington County, and the Washington County Chamber of Commerce.  Each organization will send communication to their active members with information on how to join the Zoom conversation for each week’s topic.
