LWC Names Kelsey Lorman Director of Graduate Engagement
Hagerstown, MD; January 4, 2016 – Leadership Washington County (LWC), a local leadership development program and non-profit, has named Kelsey Lorman as Director of Graduate Engagement.
Mrs. Lorman, who had been Campaign Relationship Coordinator at United Way of Washington County, MD, will be in charge of planning and administering programs and generating funding to develop graduate engagement. LWC, which has focused primarily on its core program, will expand its efforts to engage graduates and promote their service and volunteer work in our community. Mrs. Lorman will lead the new initiatives.
“With nearly 800 graduates, LWC has a strong legacy and notable alumni. We want to ensure the strong connections formed within leadership classes continues beyond graduation and that graduates stay connected to one another, LWC, and the community through service opportunities,” commented Dr. Tara Sargent, Executive Director of LWC. “Kelsey Lorman’s experience working for a non-profit, fundraising, and coordinating and engaging volunteers, will greatly benefit LWC, our graduates, and our community.”
Mrs. Lorman has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts, focusing on Journalism and Public Relations from Salisbury University where she graduated summa cum laude. She graduated from LWC in 2015 as a member of Class 28 and since then has served as a volunteer on the LWC Alumni and Public Relations Committees.
