  • Seeking 4 Development Council Members to advise the CEO and Director of Marketing on matters that pertain to marketing and fundraising, ultimately with the goal of increasing awareness and financial support for the organization. This includes but is not limited to: brand recognition, community engagement, external communications, building a strong donor database, cultivating current supporters and converting them to annual donors, identifying grant sources, helping with special events and capital campaigns (when the need arises).

USA Cycling Volunteer Opportunities​​ - Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau (http://www.visithagerstown.com/

  • Seeking volunteers to fill 200 slots!!  Each volunteer slot is approximately 3 hours and there are opportunities over the course of four days (June 20-23, 2019).  At this time the biggest need is for volunteers to assist with set up, course support (marshalls & crosswalk monitors) and tear down to help support this National Event.

  • Seeking 5-7 Board Members from any industry or organization with an overall enthusiasm for helping enhance and expand the opportunities for WCPS public school students; Familiarity with Washington County businesses and organizations; Willing to commit own time and resources to grow WCPSEF.

  • Preference is for new board members to start a term at the beginning of fiscal year; this year, that would be July 1, 2019.

7th Grade Career Exploration (Thursday 6/6/2019) - Greater Hagerstown; Chamber of Commerce; WCPS; HCC; WCPS Education Foundation; OnTrack Washington County, Inc. 

  • Serve as a career day presenter: Speak and engage with students about your work, career, and occupation. Over 1,600 WCPS 7th graders; half will attend a morning session and half an afternoon session. Each session will consist of TWO 30-minute classroom presentations. We invite you present during the morning session (9:30 AM to 10 AM and 10:15 AM to 10:45 AM) or the afternoon session (12:30 PM to 1 PM and 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM) OR BOTH.  This is a chance to showcase your company’s production and/or services.
  • Volunteer to assist with “day of” logistics: We need volunteers to help set up, check-in students, greet presenters, escorts students and presenters, serve as moderators and time-keepers, give out lunches, do tear down, and serve as connectors. You can volunteer for the morning session (9 AM to 11:15 AM) or the afternoon session (12 PM to 3:00 PM) or both. Lunch will be provided from 11 AM to 12 PM for all volunteers (no matter which session you sign up for).
